I went to the bikeshop today to get my bike fixed. The man in the bikeshop and I inspected the bike together and I told him what needed to be fixed:
-The tire was flat, for the second time so it probably needs to be replaced.
-My wheel was really damaged which made cycling pretty hard.
-My chain was extremely rusty which made cycling extra hard.
-On top of that my light on the back of the bike was attached with a piece of tape.
I also told the man that was helping me that they can also fix anything else that needs to be fixed and I named the price that I am willing to pay for it.
He had listened to everything I had to say and said: 'It's better if you buy a new bike.'

I got just a little bit annoyed and I told him that I didn't want a new one. I want to keep my bike but I only wanted him to fix it. It has some issues but those issues can be fixed! It's not just a bike. It's MY bike and I'm crazy about MY bike and it means a lot to me and I won't just go around and replace it. That's not how it works.
He was very friendly and agreed on fixing my bike and on fixing everything else they could fix up to a certain price. So it will cost me but in a few weeks I'll be able to go around town on my own but better and improved bike again. On MY bike!! I can't wait!
