You're as (un)lucky as you believe!

I spilled chocolate milk over a customer today and ended up washing her clothing. Chocolate milk here, chocolate milk there. Chocolate milk every where...
Chocolate milk on myself too. That stain is still there. You got to keep the costumers happy right, who cares about your own stain anyway?

And I bought a cappuccino to go later at night and took it to go on my bike and splashed it all over my coat.  Well Duhh! You can not bike with a coffee to go if there's no lit on it but then again a coffee without a lit is not really a coffee to go, now is it? Well..that's not my definition of a coffee to go but I took it to go and then there wasn't much left to go with after I splish-splashed it every where.

I had started working at 8:00 AM this morning in a hotel where I have worked many times before. When I had finished working I started walking to the tram stop. I had not worked there for a while and felt a bit disorientated. I had no clue which tram to take or where I had to get in. I stood there looking a bit puzzled, I guess. I can look pretty puzzled, it's a gift. People usually approach me naturally because they can see that I need help even though I don't tell. It's so easy!

A tram was passing by at the opposite side of the street. The tram driver must have seen my face and stopped and gestured to me to hop in and opened the door.  I shouted at him: 'But I don't even know if that's the one I have to take' and he shouted back: 'Where do you have to go' and I shouted where I had to go and he shouted back that he was going there and that I should hop in. I hopped in and wanted to give him a sticker for being so friendly. Not all drivers you meet in public transport are kind and I really love it when they go out of their way for the passengers. I gave him an extra thank you and a 'have a really nice day' when I got out of the tram. So that was the first time I felt super lucky today, but I also felt lucky when the girl that got an unexpected shower of chocolate milk did not get upset. "It can happen", is what she said.

The second time I felt lucky was when I discovered this new really awesome place just around the corner from where I live and made a new friend. I was walking behind a girl who was using her GPS to find the way so I asked her what she was looking for , kind of sensing we were heading to the same place, and I was right! We had to go to the exact same place so we joined each other and kind of stuck together for the night and shared a cookie. A friendship can start with sharing a cookie.

I'm lucky to have met her and who knows till the next time. She's from the Philippines and I asked her if she speaks Spanish, I kind of assumed she did. I really had no clue that people from the Philippines don't speak Spanish. My bad. O well,  I learned something new today!

No problems with men being gay
but why do the gay guys have to be so handsome?
One other thing that happened today:  I got even more proof that the really handsome guys are gay. I was observing this one guy the whole night. I think every woman in our side of the room had more attention for this guy than for the play that was going in front of us. But as I said he was very obviously gay but not the type of gay that makes a gay-radar go off. I could have cried. Oh well that was a bit unfortunate but I did notice that he didn't smile  or laugh that much. Who wants a guy with a funeral face anyway?

It was a really nice performance called 'bouquet of stories' by 7MRP (the 7 missing rules productions) a bunch of random creative and free spirits who one day decided to act and to start performing! It wasn't a masterpiece. The group came together 7 months ago and most of the actors were standing on stage for the first time. So you can't even expect a masterpiece but I loved it because it was super genuine and it was a daring. Who doesn't love genuine and daring?
At a certain point they asked volunteers to join on stage and of course I wanted to. 'Pick me! Pick me!' It was a bit scary but for that reason exciting. Who doesn't love exciting?
I had to play this person who was sitting on a bench in the park and felt that the bench was hers and another volunteer had to come and try to make me leave "my" bench. There was no way I was going to leave my bench.

I made another discovery today: I like my boss (He's just one of the many bosses I have, because that's what you get when you work as a temp) ! I thought he was this scary, intimidating guy at first but turns out, he isn't! He's actually pretty nice and funny and has a heart. Who could have guessed?

So overall, it was a really good day today. I felt really lucky. I always knew broken glass brings a bit of luck but pouring chocolate milk over a customer definitely does. I should do that more often. Just kidding. Don't tell my boss I said that!
