Happiness is...

What's better than walking as if you don't have a care in the world and not a single thing to do, to walk in the company of a friend.
We met at school.
We walked and got in the bus, which bus didn't matter so much.
We talked about religion. Well you did most of the talking since I'm an atheist,  I listened.
You told me things, I didn't know, that amazed me.
You told me how in the past you almost drowned. I felt sorry for you but couldn't suppress to laugh a little.
We still had 20 minutes until you had to catch your train.
I bought some nuts. You told me that you don't like nuts because you're not a bird. I offered you some anyway. You told me how you drink a glass of milk now and then. I told you milk disgusts me. I asked you why you eat vegetables then, since you're not a rabbit. I told you that a cow does not drink milk, but that it drinks water and we laughed.

We looked at man with yellow eyes and fancy looking men in suits as they passed by.
We also went to the post office, took our time but didn't post anything. 'Tomorrow is another day', I said.
You took your time to decide what ice cream you wanted. I stood there and waited. I thought not buying ice cream would have been better for you but left the decision in your hands. 'Never mind', you said.
I accompanied you to the train platform.
We hugged. You went home, by train, so did I, by buss.

It was an hour, one single hour, well spent, as if I had all the time and not a single care in the world, in the company of a dear friend.
